The certificate of competency for sailing area 2 entitles the holder to independently operate yachts up to 24 metres in length and a distance from the coast of 20 nautical miles.

The certificate of competency for sailing area 2 entitles the holder to independently operate yachts up to 24 metres in length and a distance from the coast of 20 nautical miles.
Theoretical examination: The theoretical examination consists of a written multiple-choice test and a chart work. For the multiple choice test, a list of questions is presented in advance, the map work is covered in the course.
Practical examination: The practical training and examination takes between 4 and 7 days and is carried out in Croatia. The practical examination must be completed within 24 months after the theoretical examination.

According to § 15 para. 11 of the Maritime Navigation Act (BGBl. 46/2012), viadonau is responsible for issuing international certificates for the operation of motor yachts or/and sailing yachts with a length of up to 24 m and a gross tonnage (BRZ) of less than 300. The International Certificates are based on the recommendations of the UNECE (International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft, IC for short).

The international certificates are based on the recommendations of the UNECE (International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft, short: IC).
